This symbol reminds me of the airbrushing technique used in fashion and especially “girly” magazines. The women portrayed appear to be flawless. You don’t see any zits. The skin looks smooth and silky with no discolorations. This appearance doesn’t really give an accurate presentation of their character or what they are truly like in person. Looks can be deceiving. Are you in a fantasy relationship or do you see beyond the perfect image in front of you? Does the person have any substance to back up their look? On 8/24/06 the IAU – International Astronomical Union – will gather in Prague to create a new universal definition of what defines a planet and to decide if Pluto, Charon (Pluto’s Moon), Ceres, and 2003 UB313 (aka Xena-not the permanent name) are going to be classified as planets or not. It really won’t matter if they declassify Pluto for the Astrologers. We will still work with it in charts. If you’ve experienced a Pluto transit, you know the powerful effect it has on you. Ceres was known as a planet in the 1800’s but then was downgraded to an asteroid. Pluto, Charon and Xena may be classified as plutons (objects inside the Kuiper Belt.

On a collective note, we can only hope that the powers that be, in politics and in the religious sector, experience a major breakthrough for a peaceful change. Hopefully this energy is strong enough to diffuse the mounting tension in the Middle East. The Mars square Pluto indicates there could be heavy-duty power struggles and disagreements occurring. Be careful of ticking off the wrong person.

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of Iran has the New Moon conjunct his Pluto-destruction-in the eighth house-death. This eclipse is conjunct his Mars-war. Transiting Pluto is conjunct his twelfth house. Keep in mind that Iran has ties with the Hesbola in Lebanon. The following week Mars will conjunct Neptune-deception-in the chart of Lebanon in the twelfth house-hidden enemies, oil, gases, and religious delusions and fanaticism. The week after that Mars goes on to conjunct Neptune in Israel’s twelfth house. The Moon is also aspecting Uranus so anything unexpected can happen. The warrior enters the sign of the negotiator. Libra isn’t fond of confrontation. The tendency is to want to please everyone. Unfortunately unless someone isn’t willing to compromise, negotiations break down. I have my doubts that there is even the word compromise in the Middle Eastern language.
